inOriginal pine tongue and groove (T&G) plank walls and ceiling now exposed. Some of the T&G may remain intact, depending on plans. The T&G as a wall covering adds to the structural integrity of the house. The beams across the ceiling are made of three 2×12’s and not original. They will be replaced with real Douglas fir beams.

The foundation. Cedar floor joists sitting on Bois d’Arc stumps and limestone rubble create a platform for the plank flooring. The perimeter beams are hand hewn 8×8 timbers.
