It’s wonderful to see the progress that you’ve made on the house. In the 35 years that I’ve lived down the road from the house I’ve seen it go through many changes. Many years ago it was unoccupied and my kids would say that they could see ghosts inside the house. In the late 80s I spoke with an elderly woman who said that she had lived in the house as a young girl. She described the tree out front as being called ‘the hanging tree’. That was the tree that they hung indians from. The house has a fascinating history and I appreciate your efforts in sharing your story with the public. I wish you good good luck on the remainder of your restoration. It’s great to see you preserving such an important part of our local history.
